Your hair can't always stay perfect and healthy, especially when wind, rain or intense sun are in the picture. I'm going to share with you five secret weapons to always carry on you, in order to achieve that constant good hair day look, regardless of the circumstances.

Every time I see publicity on TV advertising hair products, I’m always left with the same thoughts: “My hair couldn’t stay like that all day” or “*sigh*, if only”. So, new year, new me. I’m done wishing: I have created what I call the perfect “Hair Emergency Kit”, which, as the name implies, allows you to easily rescue your hair in an emergency. Let’s get to it.
1. Leave in conditioner. My personal favourite brand is Vitapointe. Humidity made your hair frizzy? Vitapointe. Rain made your hair flat? Vitapointe. See, the amazing thing is, not only does it condition on-the-go, it also moulds your hair, giving it style and volume, as well as reinforcing your entire hair shaft, protecting it from breakage and chemical wear. It also smells delicious, which is always a bonus.
2. UV protector. Although some sunlight can be beneficial to our hair, if the sun rays are too strong, they can cause serious damage. Carrying a UV protector spray on you is the safest bet, just in case it gets a little bit too sunny, especially if you’re at the beach.
3. Hair scent. Be that girl (or person!), you know the one: her hair always smells absolutely wonderful. Just a little *spray* and your hair immediately smells heavenly. Which of course makes you the queen bee- sorry, I don’t make the rules.
4. Mini straighteners/ curler. That is if they fit in your bag, of course. If not, a mini hair spray should do the trick. Not just a good hair day, a #goodhairlife. It’s a full time job, a decision you make every morning when you wake up, but honey, trust me when I say that it’s worth it.

5. Bobby pins, hair ties, a head band and/or a claw clip. I truly believe these items work like Nanny McPhee because when you don’t want them, they’re around, but when you desperately want them, they’re nowhere to be seen. So you buy more, only to find the ones you lost on your nightstand. But then you lose them all- the old and the new ones. So you buy more, but you find them, and lose them again… honestly, a vicious cycle. That’s why I always carry some in my purse. Just in case :) By the way, the image with the cute butterfly clips is from Emma Leger on Instagram!
An item a lot of my friends carry around is the most obvious: a hair brush. I tend not to bring one with me everywhere I go (my hair is wavy/curly, so I can't just brush it whenever), however I do have one in my car. I’m not sure if that counts as a 6th item on the list? Let’s make it 5.5 items.

Anyway, ignoring my little outburst at the end about bobby pins and hair ties, that was my “Hair Emergency Kit”, and it always saves the day. Having all of these items on me all the time means that I never have to worry about my hair going rogue (apart from if it rains and I don’t have an umbrella or a hood- nothing I can do about that).
