MY UNIVERSITY BUCKET LIST

University flies by in the blink of an eye, and before it's over you should fully immerse yourself in this experience, making the most of every step of the way.

I will be putting together a list of 15 things I'd like to complete before I graduate, some of them being from my friends who are either already at university or about to begin their adventure.

Without further ado, and in no particular order, here’s mine and my friend’s University Bucket List:

1. Go on a pub crawl. I think just about everyone has this one on their to-do list for uni. All I hear from my friends is how much fun pub crawls are. Count me in!

2. Make a university best friend. Apparently friends you make at uni stick for life. I’ll take a whole bunch please!

3. Join a society/ club. There are hundreds of societies to join, and you don’t have to limit yourself to ones that are related to your course: join anything that interests you.

4. Go to a campus concert. They look so fun! And they’re on campus! Around 99% of the time, you also get student discounts. Ask about it at your students union.

5. Write a letter to myself and open it after graduation. If you’re still on time, write it before you even start uni! And concerning the content of the letter- write whatever feels natural. After all, it’s you that will be reading it.

6. Go to a costume party. To be honest, this one is fairly difficult to avoid! Especially during Halloween. Make sure to pack your best fancy dress!

7. Dramatically change my hair. I have dyed my hair natural colours in the past, but I’ve never been bold enough to actually change my hair. Who knows, I might really suit pink hair!

8. Go on a beach day. Near my university there are a few beaches, so I’d love to invite some of my friends to go to one of them (although it’s the UK, so there’s a 70% chance it won’t be a nice day).

9. Attend a formal event. Whether it’s a ball, a dinner with someone important or a boring meeting, I want the opportunity to dress up really formally.

10. Host a flat Christmas dinner. Living at university can make a lot of people homesick, so they might appreciate being invited to an event that makes them feel more at home (if they celebrate Christmas, that is!).

11. Get an impulsive tattoo/ piercing. Even if I regret it! It will be cool to look at it and remember the spontaneous moment.

12. Get a job. I want a part-time job to help pay for my tuition! Also to gain important experience.

13. Have a university glow up. I have seen so many people find their style, and their confidence during their uni years. When is it my turn!!!

14. Find my passion. No further explanation necessary, because “passion” is very relative to each person.

15. Travel abroad with my uni friends during school break. Greece is great for partying and it’s also relatively cheap!

Anyway, thank you so much for reading my bucket list!

Bear in mind that although I have made a bucket list, you absolutely do not need one to have fun. At uni, especially during your first year, every day is an adventure full of spontaneous activities.

So, until next time, and if you’re starting university or any form of superior studies soon, I wish you the best of luck and I’m so excited for you!
